Zombicide! Sexy Zombie Babes II (Painted Walkers)

Hello all,
Another set of the Walker type Zombie from Season 1, nicknamed *Sexy Zombie Babes* by yours truly. Mostly because they seem a bit more modest than the other female walker sculpt.

Zombicide Kickstarter Zombie Walker Sexy lady Night Painted
They are a pleasure to paint - easy clothing, and the only two problems are their legs (as they scream for stockings) and the little issue of their underwear showing through an unlucky tear on the backside.

The only problem is that their hands are somewhat crippled, and really need a hefty dose of blood-paint to camouflage the issue.

Zombicide!: Jogging Zombies II (Painted Runners)

Howdy folks,
The good thing about getting Goth Amy painted was that I got a ton of new colours into the painting rack. This has so far produced some rather smashing Runners who do look like they might ahve been out running together when the virus hit :-).

This is the Runner from Season 1, nicknamed the Jogging Zombie, and is one of the most scary looking minis from the original packs.

The face is superb and the rest is great, although it does suffer from the "melted hands" syndrome.

Zombicide: Game play - "Pull the Switch"

Hello all,
So we had another go at our favorite board game, Zombicide! (ofc), and carnage ensued.
The scenario was "Pull the Switch" from the extra campaign pack Switch City (which can be found here), and we played with four (randomly dealt) Survivors; Josh, Ned, Phil, and Nick.

This was a few weeks ago, so I can't remember all the details but the pictures should convey the fun and carnage that was had by all :-).

During the early turns we split up and managed to keep the Zombie threat down by a concentrated amount of gunfire - here Phil is making a ton of noise

Nick and Josh took it in turns to mow down the zombies, and quickly got into the orange zone...

Tough decisions had to be made

More and more zombies are attracted by the noise of the survivors

The thing about ZOmbicide is that just when you think you are able to handle things - zombies start to appear in horrific numbers.
Here we had severe tactical problems as to how to get the car driving without hitting survivors - and we needed the cars moving and decimating the zombie hordes..

Zombicide Game play scenario Switch city survivors zombie
Problem solved, mostly. Dead Zombies galore!

Yet our brave survivors were swamped, and as the zombies started pulling down Ned and Phil the screams split the air

Only Josh and Nick made it out of the zombie crunch alive, but only a few of the objectives had been met. Would they be able to succeed?

Zombicide Game play scenario Switch city survivors zombie
While Nick began searching, Josh led the zombies away, frantically attempting to get to the last objectives in time

Unfortunately, while Nick thought he was safe, Zombies suddenly appeared right beneath his feet. Josh felt a tear appear as he heard his brave friend scream while being torn apart..

The reaction of Josh's player as he once again finds no tool to open the doors with. As the zombies start to pile into the building, Josh realises that even his superior Slippery skills wont be enough to survive this ordeal

The last thing Josh saw in his short, brutal life.

Goodbye Josh, and with him we lost (another) mission... but good fun was had anyways :-)
Hope you enjoyed the pictures - we had a blast even though we lost big time.

Zombicide! Survivors in Zombie-Killing-Action

Hello all,
I've had great fun setting up some 'action' scenes while taking photos recently, so here are a few of the action shots involving the survivors and zombies I painted the past weeks.

Free Zombicide scenario from Ravage Magazine

Hi all,
Apparently Guillotine Games has been busy doing a few scenarios for CMON's magazine called Ravage Magazine. In issues 4,5 and 6 (I think) there is one or two new missions that seem to be of good quality, although the one I've found a link to online seems pretty straigth forward and without any radical new thinking involved. Although the idea that cars can only use one Action Point each turn is a pretty good house rule to lessen the impact of cars on zombies (pun intended).
As CMON posted this link I guess it is okay to include the mission here to show the quality of the magazine:

Zombicide Survivor: El Cholo Painted

Hello all,
Another Survivor joins the fight in Technicolour :-). The last survivor of this batch was El Cholo. My favorite survivor by far.

Zombicide Kickstarter El Cholo Survivor Zombivore Painted

Not the best hero in the game but the figure and the rules just shouts for the player to go 'El Cholo'-style and start chopping Zombies apart left and right. We have lost a few games because whoever plays El Cholo invariably starts going a bit mad :-)..

All good fun - the figure was a bit difficult to paint, I really need better browns for leather etc. But all in all I think he turned out all right.

El Cholo's Game Sheet:
Zombicide Kickstarter El Cholo Survivor Zombivore Painted Game Sheet

Heres the designer's note on El Cholo:
"I’m not angry, I’ll show you angry… Joder!"
No one seems to know this gruff latino’s real name but everyone calls him El Cholo.
Whether he minds, or even cares is unknown, El Cholo rarely speaks, preferring to let his twin machetes do the talking. A hardened farmhand or possibly an ex-cartel enforcer, putting Zombies down at close quarters is El Cholo's specialty, and damn! he's good at it. The survivors whisper stories of hopeless last stands and daring raids, and El Cholo walking out covered in (someone else's) blood.

• Starting with two machetes gives El Cholo a serious advantage over Zombies, including fatties. He goes straight to the fray and leaves his companions the opportunity to search for weapons. His melee skills improves over Danger Levels. From Orange level and on, he becomes a one-man army and counterbalance the machete low Dice value with extra Actions. El Cholo’s simple and heroic gameplay is great for every beginning player. No need to argue, he’s the tank.
• El Cholo is a machete ace. Since he begins with a pair of them, he doesn’t really need to Search. He doesn’t decline a Goalie Mmask, however, as it increases his already great survival abilities in hand-to-hand fighting. If he still possesses his machetes at Red level, he’s even able to chop down the Abomination... A Molotov? Who needs that anymore? If an equipment swap is needed, El Cholo is also great with a chainsaw and/or Sub MGs, providing you choose the matching Skills.
• El Cholo ain’t afraid to battle Zombie in close-combat but isn’t invulnerable. He has good synergies with shooters and those who quickly find equipment. His best friend will always be the sniper who’s able to shoot down lone targets (they hinder El Cholo) and quick opponents (they can charge him).

All the best,
Kasper

Zombicide Survivor: Nick Walker 'The Bad Cop' Painted

Hello all,
Managed to get another survivor painted! This time it was Nick Walker, aka the Bad Cop.
Bruce Willis, sorry Nick Walker, was an easy paintjob, yet a very characteristic miniature and a pleasure to paint.

Kickstarte Zombicide Nick Walker Cop Painted Survivor Zombivore
Nick has consistently been one of our favorite Survivors - his tough skill is really essential to the early/mid game stage and makes him a very forgiving character.

Kickstarte Zombicide Nick Walker Cop Painted Survivor Zombivore

Designer's note on Nick the Cop:
"I do things by the book, my book!"
Lieutenant Nicholas Walker has sometimes been bad, and always been lucky. Corrupt and cocksure, Nick gets his man, anyway he can, even if it means doing things a normal cop wouldn’t do. Bluffing and bullying his way through the streets of New York, this highly decorated officer has put away hundreds of criminals and lined his pockets discreetly while he was at it.
Now, with no more crime and money meaningless, he desperately searches for his wife, rescuing and helping other survivors in the vain hope that someone has seen her.

Zombicide! Average Joe Zombies II (Painted Walkers)

Hello all,
Got a ton of Zombies painted last week, so there'll be plenty of pictures in the near future. The first group was that anonymous Zombie I named "average Joe" last time I painted him/it.

He is pretty average and thus a very quick model to apply paint to. And he looks good shuffling across the gameboard.

Hello all,
Got another Zombie painted- for some reason he had been left all alone and had to painted as a single miniature, instead of in a batch.

Zombicide! Painted Berserker and Toxic Abominations

Hello all,
Managed to get my hands on an early prototype of the Berserker and Toxic Abomination and couldn't wait to paint them:
Zombicide Zombie Enforcer Abomination Berserker Toxic Painted Kickstarter

Nah, just kidding :-).

Zombicide Zombie Enforcer Abomination Berserker Toxic Painted Kickstarter

Found these two pre-painted miniatures in my LGS for next to nothing (1.25$ total) and decided that they would 1) be great fun to (re-)paint and 2) work well as a Toxic and Berserker Abomination, respectively.

Zombicide Zombie Enforcer Abomination Berserker Toxic Painted Kickstarter

They were originally produced by Wizards of the coast for some game I've never heard about but the sculpt quality is excellent, and especially the Zombie Enforcer Nazi guy was great fun to paint. His game-plate even had a great motto, which I think I'll adopt for this page: "When the dead start walking, the living run" :-).

The other 'Mr. Doomsball' is just mental - apparently someones forcefed him a naval mine.

The Zombie with a bomb in his stomach (not a sentence your read everyday...) is begging to get a scenario of his own...
