Zombicide!: Eagle Chaz Survivor and Zombivore Painted

Hello all,
Eagle Chaz , both Survivor and Zombivore painted. Wuhuu!
One of the most anticipated survivors from the second shipment. We havn't tried him out yet, but he looks like a zombie-killing monster.

Zombicide Survivor Eagle Chaz Zombivore Paint Chuck Norris
The Survivor figure is excellent - really captures the spirit of Chuck Norris, sorry Eagle Chaz.
The Zombivore version is a bit more so-so. He looks like he is about to puke, and why the Uzi? A broken arm or something would have been nice. Of course, he will look more gruesome once I get around to applying some blood and gore to the two of them.
Zombicide Survivor Eagle Chaz Zombivore Paint Chuck Norris
The American flag was easier than anticipated, although the stars on his breast pocket are not that great. Might have to go back and redo them,
Zombicide Survivor Eagle Chaz Zombivore Paint Chuck Norris

Designer's note on Eagle Chaz
"I hate killing but I’ll make an exception. Being the good guy doesn’t mean being nice!"
Eagle Chaz is THE man. He fought crime and evil. He fought for freedom, he stood for the weak against the powerful. He knows how to use guns but his body is his best weapon. Usually, Eagle Chaz doesn’t want to kill, unless he has no other choice. He is a THE good guy. Well, zombies aren’t really people, so let’s just call it target practice.

Rasputin Zombiehunter

Hello all,
Seems Guillotine Games have done it again. And with 'it' I mean produced another fantastic sculpt.

This is Padre Johnson, one of the special survivors from the Artist Packs:

Zombicide Survivor Artist Pack Rasputin Zombie Padre Johnson

Apart from being a stunning sculpt, he has that mad look in his eyes that really makes the mini interesting.

And is quite close to the original concept:

He is not a Kickstarter exclusive and should be available for purchase in Q1 2014.

Anyways, thanks for reading - if you found the post interesting then any comments or tips are greatly appreciated!

Zombicide!: Survivor El Cholo Painted (Updated Pictures)

Hello all,
Managed to get some better pictures of crazy ol' El Cholo. His Zombivore version is also almost completed...
El Cholo Survivor Zombicide Zombie paint Painted

El Cholo Survivor Zombicide Zombie paint Painted
Heres the designer's note on El Cholo:
"I’m not angry, I’ll show you angry… Joder!"
No one seems to know this gruff latino’s real name but everyone calls him El Cholo.
Whether he minds, or even cares is unknown, El Cholo rarely speaks, preferring to let his twin machetes do the talking. A hardened farmhand or possibly an ex-cartel enforcer, putting Zombies down at close quarters is El Cholo's specialty, and damn! he's good at it. The survivors whisper stories of hopeless last stands and daring raids, and El Cholo walking out covered in (someone else's) blood.

• Starting with two machetes gives El Cholo a serious advantage over Zombies, including fatties. He goes straight to the fray and leaves his companions the opportunity to search for weapons. His melee skills improves over Danger Levels. From Orange level and on, he becomes a one-man army and counterbalance the machete low Dice value with extra Actions. El Cholo’s simple and heroic gameplay is great for every beginning player. No need to argue, he’s the tank.
• El Cholo is a machete ace. Since he begins with a pair of them, he doesn’t really need to Search. He doesn’t decline a Goalie Mmask, however, as it increases his already great survival abilities in hand-to-hand fighting. If he still possesses his machetes at Red level, he’s even able to chop down the Abomination... A Molotov? Who needs that anymore? If an equipment swap is needed, El Cholo is also great with a chainsaw and/or Sub MGs, providing you choose the matching Skills.
• El Cholo ain’t afraid to battle Zombie in close-combat but isn’t invulnerable. He has good synergies with shooters and those who quickly find equipment. His best friend will always be the sniper who’s able to shoot down lone targets (they hinder El Cholo) and quick opponents (they can charge him).

Zombicide!: Survivor Goth Amy Painted (Updated Pictures)

Hello all,
Managed to get some better pictures of Goth Amy, that little punk darling.
Zombicide Goth Amy Survivor paint painted Zombie Punk

Zombicide Goth Amy Survivor paint painted Zombie Punk

Zombicide Goth Amy Survivor paint painted Zombie Punk
Designer's note on Amy:

"No, I don’t want to explain why we need to loot the makeup store."
Amy was a goth girl who hated everything; from mindless consumerism to the pointlessness of daily existence. The world Amy despised so much has crumbled, but from it comes the promise of a fresh start and simpler times. Desperate zombie battles have sparked a will to live in Amy; but she still doesn’t feel comfortable without some white foundation on.

Zombicide!: Crazy Ned Painted (updated pictures)

Hello all,
Managed to get some better pictures of good old Crazy Ned, everyones favorite survivor...

Zombicide Zombie Survivor Crazy Ned painted

Zombicide Zombie Survivor Crazy Ned painted

Zombicide Zombie Survivor Crazy Ned painted
Designer's Note on Crazy Ned:

"….add a bit of bleach and BANG! Heh heh heh…"
Ned knew it. He knew THIS would happen. THIS was THEIR fault. But NOBODY ever listened. Boy are they SORRY now. Ned has been preparing for years: collecting food and weapons, building a bunker, all to survive THIS. Unfortunately for Ned, he’s lost his bunker key, so until he finds it he’s going to need every survival skill he’s got. And probably other people. Crap.

Zombicide!: Survivor Josh the Thug Painted (updated pictures)

Hello all,
Managed to get a few pictures of Josh the Thug in better light.

Still a brilliant mini :-): more infor on Josh the Thug can be found here: http://zombicidedk.blogspot.dk/search/label/Josh%20the%20Thug

Designer's note on Josh:
"I don't want your money. What am I supposed to do with it?"
Josh was a street thug, growing up poor in a tough neighborhood [Sic]. Surviving day to day was all he could do before the zombies. Now there's no more law and no one can tell him what to do, Josh finds his street smarts in high demand by other survivors. Respect, worth more than all the money in the world...

Zombicide Troy Survivor and Zombivore painted

Hello all,
As the sun has been shining in Denmark, I managed to get a few pictures of the latest survivor to get a paintjob. This time it was Troy the Travellor. He was part of the second shipment, and as such also came with his Zombivore version.
While the sun may have been a bit harsh (all shadows have been cruelly removed) here are the pictures.

Troy travellor Zombivore Survivor Zombicide Painted
Both sculpts are great - I really enjoy the casual pose of the survivor and the maniac look of the zombivore.
There is actually very little detail on both - nothing like the amount of some of the other survivors, but they both work really well. And I like that the Zombivore has retained the axe.

The Zombivore still needs a generous application of blood.

Troy travellor Zombivore Survivor Zombicide Painted
Designer's note on Troy:
What… you never seen a shotgun before?"
Troy has traveled far and wide. He has fought zombies and demons for years, even centuries if you believe him. Troy knows where they come from and what must be done to send them back to Hell.
Most likely he's seen one too many horror films, that’s all. Troy is probably mad. Or is he?

Skills:
  • Blue / Starts with a sawed-off
  • Yellow / +1 Action
  • Orange A / +1 to dice roll: Combat
  • Orange B / Tough
  • Red A / +1 free Melee Action
  • Red B / +1 free Ranged Action
  • Red C / Webbing

Zombicide: Painted Dave the Geek Survivor

Hello all,
Another survivor painted, this time it is Dave the Geek.
Not the best of the season one survivors as his special skill is so situational, but a brilliant miniature nonetheless. He has even kept his light saber, just in case he figures out how to use it :-).

The t-shirt really needs some type of freehand, and I chose a classic Sheldon t-shirt with the sign of the Green Lantern superhero. I really wish I was a better painter, but hey he is done :-):

Zombicide Suvivor Dave Geek Painted

The designer's brief on Dave reads:

"Yeah sure, take the shotgun if you want, I'll take the... AMMONIUM... NITRATE!"
As far as he remembers, Dave always found reality to be terribly boring. So he locked himself up in an imaginary world and learned piles of useless stuff... useless until now. Dave is a fount of knowledge. His chemistry mastery makes him look like a superhero amongst other survivors. At least until he opens this mouth, then everyone remembers he's a real geek.

Skills:
  • Blue / 2 cocktails are better than 1
  • Yellow / +1 Action
  • Orange A / +1 re-roll per turn
  • Orange B / Slippery
  • Red A / +1 to dice roll: Ranged
  • Red B / +1 die: Ranged
  • Red C / Lucky

Zombicide: Painted Wanda the Waitress Survivor

Hello all,
Sweet Wanda to the Rescue!

How could anyone not love Wanda - sweet, delicate, and carrying a chainsaw while roller-skating :-).

The model has a greats ense of movement, but is really marred by multiple moldlines. and these are int he worst possible locations; i.e. face and hair. I gave up on removing most of them, but wish I had. She turned out ok, but will have to go back and give her some eyes, but her face is so small...

Zombicide Survivor painted Wanda Waitress
Designer's note on Wanda:
"Hands off, or I chop them off!"
Wanda served burgers and beer at the local drive-in. The zombie apocalypse hasn’t changed her routine much; she still has to dodge grabby hands, scoot around on rollerskates and firmly reject inappropriate advances. The new chainsaw is a perk though.

Zombicide Survivor painted Wanda Waitress
To make her a bit more gruesome I've added two zombie heads and a hand - recently chopped of by Wanda.

Skills:
  • Blue / 2 Zones per Move Action
  • Yellow / +1 Action
  • Orange A / Slippery
  • Orange B / +1 to dice roll: Melee
  • Red A / +1 dice: Combat
  • Red B / +1 free Move Action
  • Red C / +1 Zone per Move

Older pictures, poor indoor lighting - might be of use to someone :-).

Hello all,
Better pictures of the Abomination, curtesy of the sun that finally decided to shine in Denmark.
The Abomination is the biggest, baddest Zombie in Zombie-town.

Zombicide!: Mantic Zombie Mutations V (Walker)

Hello all,
So, more than a hundred zombies to paint will drive anyone insane. As the best remedy is to add some diversion to the horde, I searched my bits box and found an old sprue that I had gotten for free with some purchase. On the sprue were two Zombies, and various bits and bobs to put on them - all made by Mantic Games (link). Great detail, although their zombies are closer to what I would term Ghouls.
I then set about snipping and snapping, and managed to diversify eight of Guillotine Games' zombies - without them becoming too unrecognisable. The bodies are almost exactly the same size, so the conversions were easy and great fun.
As with all my minis, the intention is to get them ready as quickly as possible and then, at some time, to return and add a few details (especially to the bases - they are much too clean atm).

This creeper has the body of walker and the legs from a Mantic Zombie. Looks very nasty :-)

This lovely couple, a runner and a walker, have each had a quick handswap - getting a weapon each.

The Runner carries a wicked cleaver, while the Naughty Nurse has a scalpel I wouldn't like to be at the receiving end of. Both courtesy of the Mantic zombie sprue.

Zombicide!: Mantic Zombie Mutations III (Walkers)

Hello all,
Painting Zombies. No problem. But painting more than a hundred zombies to paint will drive anyone insane. And that is just the Abomination pack - there is an additional hundred zombies coming during this year. As the best remedy is to add some diversion to the horde, I searched my bits box and found an old sprue that I had gotten for free with some purchase. On the sprue were two Zombies, and various bits and bobs to put on them - all made by Mantic Games (link). Great detail, alhthough their zombies are closer to what I would term Ghouls.
I then set about snipping and snapping, and managed to diversify eight of Guillotine Games' zombies - without them becoming too unrecognizable. The bodies are almost exactly the same size, so the conversions were easy and great fun.
As with all my minis, the intention is to get them ready as quickly as possible and then, at some time, to return and add a few details (especially to the bases - they are much too clean atm).

The next batch was perhaps the most fun conversions.
The two Zombies on the left are standard Walkers, but have each received a Zombie head from the Mantic sprue:
Zombicide Zombie Mantic Painted Convertted Conversion Walker
These head s are much more detailed (and larger) and gives the zombies a very different expression. Good fun - although I wish I had painted the left guy as a composer - there seems to be somthing Bethoovian about his hairstyle.
The Zombie on the right is a mixture of three different models - Walker legs, Mantic body, and a Runner head. Also something completely new - I really love the way he is grasping after his next vitim in a classic Zombie style. Good face as well.

Different angels of the fiendish creations :-).
