Alternative Survivors: Hasslefree's Bob the Mad

Hello all,
I recently had the pleasure of painting a large group of Hasslefree minis. I must re-state that these are some of the best sculpts I have ever had the pleasure of painting. This one, Bob, although not by Kev White, is so much fun to paint that he jumped ahead in the painting que:

Hasslefree, zombicide, survivor, alternative, Bob, HFH056, painted

Great fun - a real psycho - not sure whether he will work with the other zombie survivors or against them...
Almost looks like he is dancing through his mad killing spree.

Hasslefree, zombicide, survivor, alternative, Bob, HFH056, painted

The blurp on Hasslefree's homepage state the following:

Adult male knife-wielding asylum maniac is a perfect 'mad killer' or 'loony' figure for a game. The pose and facial expressions are excellent and you can see him poised behind someone or hiding around a corner just waiting to chop off their heads

Zombicide!: Bases - vertical 3d basing

Hello all,
Had some fun basing the zombies :-). Here we have a couple who have stopped at their local mechanic and purchased a solid set of tires - never know what you are going to need during a Zompocalypse..

Zombicide, bases, mantic, zombie, paint, DIY

The first is one of the Mantic Ghouls I combined with the Zombicide zombies. A boring paintjob but I didn't feel inspired at the time and thus he got only a blue jumpsuit.

Looks sufficiently manacing though :-).

Cluttering Zombie bases - and O'Leary's giveaway

Hello all,
So hot on the wheels of the last post I have begun cluttering the bases of my Zombie horde. They needed something to represent the derelict city they infest.
I've downladed a large portion of the available newspapers, magazines, and warning signs in the right scale - these can be found all over the net for free but let me know if you want direct links.
These were great fun to cut out and place on the bases - I really enjoyed the process and with a bit of brown wash and blood they look the part:

Zombies, Zombicide, bases, doing, painted

Zombies, Zombicide, bases, doing, painted

Other zombies got some more street markings (and more blood):

Zombies, Zombicide, bases, doing, painted

Zombies, Zombicide, bases, doing, painted

Zombies, Zombicide, bases, doing, painted

Zombies, Zombicide, bases, doing, painted
While some were given street signs, just for diversity:

Zombies, Zombicide, bases, doing, painted

Zombies, Zombicide, bases, doing, painted

Good fun, and they went from boring bases to interesting in an hour.

Oh, and Anne O'leary is having an interesting give-away on her blog (http://fortwitter.blogspot.nl/2013/09/let-double-triple-secret-give-away-begin.html) which includes some nice prizes.
As the blog is well worth reading why not ehad over and see for yourself?
The contest is cosponsored: "This give away is being sponsored in part by author Patrick Hatt. You can find Mr. Hatt's Amazon Writers Page at http://www.amazon.com/Pat-Hatt/e/B00AGFMYVC."

Scouring for base material

Hello all,
Just a quick shot of my attempts at procuring material to clutter up the bases of my zombies and survivors - my youngest son is not happy that his firetruck was chopped up :-)

It did however offer some very useful clutter.

50.000 hits and a box full of Zombies

Dear all,
thanks for stopping by - in great numbers. Apparently the visitor counter passed 50.000 hits sometime this weekend and I didn't even notice it at the time (it is at 51.000 now). I would like to thank all who have read, commented, and/or become a follower of this little blog which has only been in existence for a few months.
I still enjoy Zombicide but there has been little time for anything besides finishing the dissertation, teaching, and painting for the last few months - hopefully this will change now and there will be a few game reports up soonish.

Until then, this might be an opportune time to present a box full of trouble - or rather, boxes full of painted and based zombies.

Zombicide, zombies, painted, base, sally 4th, complete, abomination, walker

This is a complete Abomination Zombicide Kickstarter - so there should be zombies enough even for a mega-game :-).

The boxes are from Sally forth (read more about them here)

New exclusive Zombicide miniatures: Just when I thought I was out...

... they pull me back in.

Oh well, I shouldn't have fallen for their plot but hey its miniatures for Zombicide and they look great and, and, and.
Anyways, Guillotine Games have offered two exclusive miniatures for 10$ (including their Zombivore variant) as part of the Wrath of Kings kickstarter. And they sure look great:

Wonder what their stats will be - as they are cosplayers they might have some interesting skills?

So I've gone ahead and bought a pair and come December I'll have forgotten the 35$ and will feel the bliss of new miniatures... Yes I will.

All the best,
Kasper

Zombicide!: Painted Zombivores group shot

Hello all,
Better get these pictures up before the next shipment hits my doorstep.
Here is a group shot of all the Zombivores I managed to get from the first kickstarter:

Zombicide, Zombivores, painted, Nick, Cholo, Geek, Eagle, Chaz

Brilliant miniatures one and all. My favourtite is Nick, I think.
