Hello all,
With all the interest in the Zombicide Kickstarter there are quite a few brilliant ideas being suggested in the Kickstarter forum. This blog is just an attempt at capturing some of them in order to use them later - no disrespect meant to those who came up with the ideas in the first place.
To begin with, here are two small lists of optional search results to add a bit of spice to the whole search-experience..
Badmojovoodo suggested these optional Item cards
Outta ammo – remove either a plenty of ammo card or a ranged weapon. If you don´t have either, proceed clockwise until another player can remove such a card. Otherwise discard.
Outta gas – choose a car currently being used - roll a die, that many zones are left to drive until the car is out of gas/removed from the game. Keep track with the die on the car. (perhaps a gas can remedy this card/refill the car).
I just keep forgetting stuff… – discard a melee weapon. If you don´t have either, proceed clockwise until another player can remove such a card. Otherwise discard.
How the h**l did they get in? – find the zone(s) with the most zombies close to an unopened door. The door breaks.
Barry Hood suggested these additional Item Cards:
Horde Incoming! - During the next zombie spawn, for each normal spawn card (i.e. not sewer or extra activation) place double the number of indicated zombies. Usual rules apply (i.e. a second abomination is replaced with a fatty, if you run out of a particular type of zombie that type gets an extra activation).
The wall's coming down! - Rubble traps the survivor who searched. They may take any actions except movement actions or actions which would result in them escaping the trap (such as entering a car) until another survivor in the same zone spends 1 action to free them.
Additional AARGH! cards for toxic walkers, berserkers and dogz.
Note: I really dig the idea of there being a downside to searching - at the moment there is almost no risk involved. Although some of these would be gamebreaking - i.e. a How the h**l-card at the wrong time would be disastrous.
